About Marc

Marc is the founder and director of Broadway Workshop as well as the founder of Project Broadway,  501(C)3 offering scholarship opportunities for students in the New York area. Marc created Broadway Events, a company that offers corporate clients high level Broadway entertainment experiences and has created hundreds of Broadway concerts for major clients all over the world.

Marc served as the Dialogue/Acting Coach for the Disney film, “Better Nate than Ever,” directed by Tim Federle and starring Lisa Kudrow, Rueby Wood, Aria Brooks, Norbert Leo Butz and Joshua Bassett.

He has worked with student actors all over the world teaching acting workshops and musical theater master classes with the British Theatre Academy, Explore America, Travel Adventures, Arts for All, Hands on Broadway, The Governors School of the Arts, Wagner College, Dodger Theatrical’s and as Drama Director at The South Shore Dance Theatre. Marc also served as the Resident Director of The Random Farms Kids Theater in Westchester County, NY and Program Director for Playhouse Junior at Saint Michael’s College.

Marc is considered one of the top youth acting coaches in New York. Over 70 of his students have appeared on Broadway in shows including: Parade, Dear Evan Hansen, Some Like It Hot, Mean Girls, Mrs. Doubtfire, Hadestown, West Side Story, The Cher Show, Beetlejuice, School of Rock, Anastasia, Fun Home, Annie, Matilda, Kinky Boots, Newsies, Mary Poppins, Billy Elliot, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, People in the Picture, Fish in the Dark, Evita, Shrek: The Musical, The Color Purple, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Les Misérables as well as many major TV & Film projects.

Marc’s directing credits include: School of Rock, The Marvelous Wonderettes, Over The Rainbow, Mend, Over the Tavern, I Love My Wife, A Year with Frog and Toad, Bat Boy, Cabaret, Rent, High School Musical, The Wiz, Oliver!, Annie, Into The Woods, the educational touring production of The New Kid. Marc also served as Munchkin Director for the MSG production of The Wizard of Oz. For Broadway Workshop, Marc has directed Urinetown, Sister Act, Sweet Charity, Bring it On, Cabaret, Pippin, Carrie, Legally Blonde, Xanadu, The Secret Garden and the pilot production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Jr.

Marc has directed and co-written the club acts for multiple Broadway stars including; Andrew Barth Feldman, Micaela Diamond, Farah Alvin, Uzo Aduba, Brandi Burkhardt, Erika Henningsen and is the BroadwayWorld award winner for Best Cabaret Director of 2022.

Marc adapted the book, music & lyrics as well as directed the developmental workshop productions of the school editions of Zombie Prom for the Samuel French Inc. Flight of the Lawnchair Man, Curtains, All Shook Up, Spamalot, The Addams Family, Wind in the Willows and We Will Rock You for Theatrical Rights World Wide and EMMA! and Head Over Heels for Broadway Licensing/PlayScripts. He is the show creator, writer and director of MY TOWN: The New George M Cohan musical for Inside Broadway.

As an actor, Marc has appeared as “Eugene” in Brighton Beach Memoirs, Biloxi Blues and Broadway Bound at theaters all over the US. Other regional and New York credits include: “Yonkers” in Gypsy starring Patti LuPone and directed by Lonny Price, Santaland Diaries, …Spelling Bee, Dames at Sea, Lost In Yonkers, Into The Woods, Torch Song Trilogy, Oklahoma!, Oliver!, Shenandoah, The Dresser, Big River, Rags, Crazy For You, Pirates of Penzance and the hit Off Broadway productions of The Snow Queen and Bring Back Birdie, as well as the all-star concerts of Children Of Eden, The Secret Garden and Pippin, the latter starring Rosie O’Donnell and Ben Vereen. Film/TV credits include: “The Sopranos” and “A Beautiful Mind” directed by Ron Howard.

Marc is a member of Actors Equity Association and Stage Directors and Choreographers Society and is the host of LITTLE ME: Growing Up Broadway Podcast for the Broadway Podcast Network.
